Senior Garrett Granberg named a CCIW Player of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. Wheaton College senior Garrett Granberg (Blanco, Texas /Blanco) has been named as one of three College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Players of the Week for football. Granberg, a starting tailback for the Thunder, helped lead Wheaton to a dramatic 39-38 win at Augustana on Saturday afternoon to help the Thunder win a share of the CCIW Championship. Granberg joins Matt Roe of Augustana and Nathan Wallick as the conference's offensive players of the week for last Saturday's games.

Granberg carried the ball 21 times for 112 yards and scored a career-high four touchdowns in last Saturday's win over the Vikings. Granberg's final touchdown came with 43-seconds left in the fourth quarter to set up the game-winning two point conversion. This is his second Player of the Week honor this season.
