Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder offensive line have
been selected to this week's D3Football.com
"Team of the Week". Each week the website selects players at every position
from across Division III football who had standout games and honors them with
a spot on the "Team of the Week". For its offensive line choice the starters
are selected as the team representatives.
Starting offensive line mates Reggie King (Pamplin, Va./Garden
Spot), James Hoxworth (Bridgeport, Neb./Bridgeport), Danny Paul
(Beaumont, Calif./Arrowhead Christian), Brian Dini (Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo)
and Chris Dubos (Sumner, Wash./Sumner) were selected as this week's
starting offensive line. In Wheaton's 39-20 win over #18-ranked Millikin last
Saturday the offensive line helped six ball carriers run for 249 net yards
and pass for 291 more with one sack in 28 attempts. The Big Blue came into
the game ninth in Division III against the run holding opponents to 66 yards
per game on the ground.
Wheaton's line has been a key to the team's 4-1 start this season
and helped put the Thunder offensive unit among the leaders in NCAA Division
III in several categories. Wheaton is currently ranked fifth in Division III
in total offense with 518.4 yards per game and is eighth in scoring offense
with 43.2 points per game. The line is blocking for the 19th ranked passing
team in Division III with 292 yards through the air per game and the 24th
ranked rushing game with 226.4 yards per game on the ground.
