Chase Greenlee earns selection to the D3football.com Team of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton senior defensive end Chase Greenlee earned selection to this week's D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance in Saturday's 71-0 victory at Carroll. Greenlee set a career-high with five sacks in the victory, the third-highest single-game effort in Division III this season. In the second quarter he registered a strip sack and the fumble was recovered for a touchdown. The senior recorded eight total tackles, all solo, in the win.

Greenlee has 15.5 sacks for -86 yards this season and his average of 1.55 sacks per game is second in Division III. He has registered 21 tackles for lost yardage of -98 yards this season and his average of 2.1 TFL per game ranks sixth among all Division III players.

Greenlee's 15.5 sacks this season ties for the third-highest single-season total in program history. His effort is behind only the school-record efforts of 17-1/2 sacks by Andy Studebaker (2006) and David Hoover (1995). Greenlee has registered 31.5 sacks in his Thunder career. He is now second on the career sacks list, behind Jeff Peltz's (1977-80) school record of 37 career sacks.Print Friendly Version
