Sola Olateju named the CCIW's Player of the Week on offense

Wheaton, Ill. - Senior running back Sola Olateju was named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week in football by the conference office on Monday afternoon. The weekly honor is the second of Olateju's career, also earning the honor on October 19, 2015. He is Wheaton's fourth player to earn a weekly recognition from the CCIW this season and third offensive player to pick up an award.

Olateju ran for 273 yards on 25 carries and four touchdowns during Wheaton's 71-0 victory at Carroll last Saturday. He established career highs for rushing yards and touchdowns in a single game. He established a new school record for career rushing with 3,194 yards. He also finished with 34 career touchdowns, which is tied for fifth in program history.
