Stefan Knoerr named the CCIW Special Teams Player of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. - Senior kicker Stefan Knoerr was named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Special Teams Player of the Week by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

This is Knoerr's second career Player of the Week selection. He also picked up the recognition on October 24, 2016.

Knoerr converted his two field goal attempts on Saturday in Wheaton's 57-14 victory at Benedictine. He booted field goals of 32 and 38 yards in the first half of the season-opening victory in Lisle and also added five PAT kicks.

The senior is 11-of-13 in his career on field goals attempts, making eight of nine attempts in the 2016 season.

Knoerr and the Thunder travel to Kalamazoo College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (EST).
