Trey Hanley named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. - Junior wide receiver Trey Hanley was named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Hanley is Wheaton's sixth CCIW Player of the Week honoree in the 2016 season.

Hanley tied his career-high with six receptions on Saturday in a 37-14 victory at Augustana. The junior established a new career-best in receiving yards as he tallied a game-high 135 receiving yards in the victory against the Vikings. Hanley caught a career-long 57-yard pass on the first play of the game to setup Wheaton's first touchdown on Saturday in Rock Island, Illinois.

Hanley leads the Thunder with 563 receiving yards this season and he is third on the squad with 30 reception. His six touchdowns is second on the Thunder and he has averaged an outstanding 18.8 yards per catch this year.

Hanley and the Thunder close out the 2016 regular season on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. when Wheaton hosts Carroll University.
