J.J. Clark named associate defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the Thunder football program

Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College (Ill.) football coach Mike Swider has announced the naming of J.J. Clark as associate defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the Thunder football team. Clark's new title joins the recent appointment of Jesse Scott as offensive coordinator and Eric Terrazas as quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator for the Wheaton coaching staff in 2016.

In Clark's role as associate defensive coordinator for 2016 it will mark his second season of the Wheaton coaching staff. Clark joined the Thunder coaching staff in 2015 as cornerbacks coach and defensive passing game coordinator. Prior to returning to his alma mater, Clark was on the coaching staff at University of Akron in 2013 and 2014. In his time at Akron he worked with the linebackers and defensive backs.

A 2012 graduate of Wheaton, Clark earned his Bachelor's Degree in History. He played four seasons of football for the Thunder from 2008-11, earning Capital One Academic All-America Second Team recognition at tight end in 2011.
