The Thunder football is ranked third in the D3 preseason poll by Lindys Sports

Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton football team is ranked third in the 2015 Division III preseason poll in the preseason football preview published yearly by Lindys Sports. The Thunder posted a 10-0 regular season record in 2014, winning the CCIW Championship for the second time in three years and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Playoffs.

The Thunder football program is the highest ranked CCIW program in the poll, ahead of North Central College in seventh place. Wheaton is the second-highest ranked team for the NCAA Division III North Region, behind only first-place University of Mount Union.

The Thunder will open the 2015 season at Coe College on September 5 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Wheaton will open its home slate the following week when Adrian College visits McCully Stadium on September 12.Print Friendly Version
