Adam Dansdill named the CCIW's Player of the Week on defense

Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College junior Adam Dansdill has been named the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week for football, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. This is the third CCIW "Player of the Week" selection for Dansdill who also earned the award on Oct. 14, 2013 and Sept. 15, 2014.

Dansdill, linebacker for the Thunder, tallied 11 solo tackles during Wheaton's 21-2 win at Carthage on Saturday to secure sole posession of the 2014 CCIW Championship. Dansdill also finished with a tackle for loss, an interception return of six yards and one pass breakup. The win earned Wheaton its 17th CCIW title in program history.

Dansdill has recorded 115 total tackles for the Thunder this fall, including 54 solo stops. The junior leads the CCIW in total tackles and is ranked 19th in Division III in total tackles per game with an average of 11.5 per game this season.Print Friendly Version
