Caleb Ashby named to D3football.com Team of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. - Thunder sophomore linebacker Caleb Ashby earned recognition from D3football.com with a spot on the website's Team of the Week. Ashby was one of three linebackers nationally to earn a spot on the team after recording 12 tackles (11 solos), recovering a fumble and returning an interception for a touchdown in Wheaton's 17-0 victory over UW-Eau Claire on Saturday. Earlier in the week Ashby's pick-six was chosen as a finalist for the D3football.com Play of the Week. Through three games this season Ashby ranks third with 20 tackles with one tackle for loss. He has recorded one forced fumble, recovered one fumble and returned an interception for a touchdown. Ashby and the Thunder will next be in action when they host North Park University at 1 PM on October 4 for the annual Homecoming game.Print Friendly Version
