Adam Dansdill named the CCIW's Defensive Player of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College junior Adam Dansdill has been named the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week for football, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. This is the second CCIW "Player of the Week" selection for Dansdill who also earned the award on Oct. 14, 2013.

Dansdill was an integral part of Wheaton's 26-12 victory at Kalamazoo College on Saturday. Dansdill led the Thunder in total tackles for the second consecutive week as he made 15 total stops against the Hornets, including 12 solo tackles. The junior recorded one of Wheaton's eight quarterback sacks in the game as well.

In Wheaton's two games this season, Dansdill has recorded a team-high 25 total tackles, including 17 solo stops. He also has a quarterback sack and a blocked PAT attempt to his credit. In his two-plus seasons at Wheaton, Dansdill has recorded 95 total tackles, including 60 solo tackles.

Wheaton (2-0), ranked 20th in this week's D3football.com Top-25 Poll, will host UW-Eau Claire on Saturday at 1 p.m. at McCully Stadium in Wheaton.
