Thunder football team is ranked 24th in the D3football.com preseason poll

Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton football team is ranked 24th in the Division III preseason poll released by D3football.com on Wednesday. The Thunder earns the recognition following a 2013 season in which the program posted an 8-2 record,with a 5-2 mark in CCIW play.

This marks the ninth time that the Thunder program has been ranked in the website's preseason top-25 since D3football.com began its preseason poll in 2004. Wheaton is one of two CCIW teams ranked in this year's preseason poll; as North Central is ranked sixth.

The Thunder will open the 2014 season against Coe College on September 6 at McCully Stadium.
