Spencer Clark, Adam Dansdill, Jared Todd named Preseason All-Americans by USA Football

Wheaton, Ill. - Three members of the Wheaton Thunder football team have been honored as Preseason All-Americans for the upcoming 2014 season. Seniors Spencer Clark and junior Adam Dansdill were named First Team Preseason All-Americans by USA Football and senior Jared Todd was named an Honorable Mention Preseason All-American. Wheaton opens its 2014 season at McCully Stadium on September 6 against Coe College.

Spencer Clark.jpg" />Spencer Clark (PICTURED LEFT) earns his second Preseason All-American nod of the summer joining First Team recogntion from Lindy's Magazine. Clark was a Third Team Preseason All-American by USA Football last season before being named a First Team Preseason All-American by D3football.com. Clark was a First Team All-CCIW lineman last fall and anchored an offensive line that racked up over 212 rushing yards per game in 2013.

Adam Dansdill.jpg" />In his first year as a starter, Adam Dansdill (PICTURED RIGHT) led the Thunder defense in tackles with 57, including two sacks and six tackles for loss. A First Team All-CCIW slection at linebacker, Dansdill was the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week for the week of October 14. Dansdill blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown in the season finale at North Park.

Defensive end Jared Todd (PICTURED LEFT) led the Thunder in tackles for loss (6.5) and sacks (5) in his junior campaign with the Thunder and was named to the All-CCIW Second Team Defense at defensive line. Todd started all 10 games for the Thunder recording 30 tackles and helped lead a defense that recorded 62 tackles for loss during the season.Print Friendly Version
