Nick Biggee named to AFCA Division III All-American Team

COMPLETE AFCA ALL-AMERICAN TEAM

Wheaton, Ill. –Wheaton College senior Nick Biggee has been named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Football team. Biggee was the starting center and team captain for a 10-2 Thunder team that advanced to the Second Round of the 2010 NCAA Division III Football Playoff.

Biggee was a key part of Wheaton's offensive line that averaged 406.3 yards of offense per game in the regular season and he did not allow a sack in the regular season. The Thunder featured a balanced attack that averaged 203.7 rushing yards per game and 202.6 passing yards a game with Biggee as the anchor on the offensive front.

Biggee's selection marks the seventh time in the last eight years that the Wheaton football program has had a player named to the AFCA Division III All-American team. The other Thunder All-Americans in that span include offensive tackle James Hoxworth (2003); wide receiver Brad Musso (2004); placekicker Andrew Day (2005); defensive end Andy Studebaker (2006); cornerback and returner Pete Ittersagen (2007 and 2008).
