Scott Roche named CCIW's Player of the Week on special teams

Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton College junior placekicker Scott Roche has been named the CCIW Player of the Week on special teams for his efforts in Wheaton's 17-6 victory at Albion College on Saturday, September 11.

Under wet and muddy field conditions, Roche kicked three field goals for the Thunder. He kicked a 32-yarder late in the second quarter to give the Thunder a 5-3 halftime lead. He booted a pair of fourth quarter kicks of 22 yards and 31 yards to secure the win for the guests.

In his second season as a starter, Roche has converted 12 of his 19 career field goal attempts, including a career-long boot of 47 yards.
