Ittersagen earns CCIW Player of Week honors

Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College's Pete Ittersagen was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Special Teams Football Player of the Week on Monday.
Ittersagen, a senior cornerback from Wheaton, Ill., and Wheaton North High School, accumulated 88 yards on returns Saturday to give Wheaton strong field position throughout a 51-24 win at Carthage. Ittersagen averaged 15.5 yards per punt return with 31 yards on two punt returns. He also averaged 28.5 yards per kickoff return, with 57 yards on two returns.
On the season, Ittersagen has 17 punt returns for 321 yards (18.9 average) with one touchdown and 10 kick returns for 251 yards (25.1 average).
In his career, Ittersagen has 57 punts returns for 932 yards (16.4 average). That number breaks Brad Musso's school record of 923 punt return yards that he established in 2004.Print Friendly Version
