The Wheaton football team to face UW-Stout in the fourth annual Culvers Isthmus Bowl

Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton football team will compete in the fourth annual Culver's Isthmus Bowl next Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The Thunder will face UW-Stout for the first time as Wheaton makes its first appearance in the Isthmus Bowl since it began in the 2021 season.

The Isthmus Bowl is set up to take the top remaining team in both the CCIW and WIAC conferences each season that did not earn a NCAA Division III Playoff berth. Wheaton's NCAA postseason streak was snapped at four-consecutive seasons (2019; 2021-23) this weekend when the NCAA selections were announced, and the Thunder did not receive an at-large bid for the third-consecutive season.

Saturday's contest between the Thunder and the Blue Devils will be held at Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Tickets for the game are $15.00 and can be purchased in advance at this link. The game will also be available via livestream at this link.

Wheaton is the third different program to represent the CCIW in the Isthmus Bowl. WashU faced UW-River Falls in 2021 and 2022, with UW-River Falls earning victories each year. UW-Platteville defeated Augustana last November in the 2023 Isthmus Bowl.
