The Thunder football team finishes the 2023 campaign ranked in both Top-25 Division III football polls

Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton football team is ranked in the final D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top-25 polls of the 2023 season. Wheaton is ranked 12th in the final D3football.com Top-25 poll for the season. The Thunder earned a ranking of 13th in the final AFCA Division III Coaches Poll of 2023.

The recognition marks the 16th time in the 20-year history of the D3football.com Top-25 poll that Wheaton has finished a full season in the ranking.

Wheaton finished the 2023 campaign 10-2, earning the program's fourth-consecutive NCAA Playoff appearance and 14th postseason bid overall.

Wheaton finished ranked in the top-15 of Division III in six different team categories this season.

- Third in passes had intercepted (2)

- Fourth in Red Zone offense (93.8%)

- Seventh in offensive first downs (311)

- Ninth in scoring offense (46.0 PPG)

- 10th in total offense (501.0 YPG)

- 15th in 3rd down conversion percentage (51.0%)
