The Thunder football team finishes the 2022 campaign ranked 17th in both Top-25 Division III football polls

Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton football team is ranked in the final D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top-25 polls of the 2022 season. Wheaton is ranked 17th in both organizations' polls after the team posted an 8-3 record in 2022, earning the program's third-consecutive NCAA Playoff appearance and 13th postseason bid overall.

The recognition marks the 15th time in the 19-year history of the D3football.com Top-25 poll that Wheaton has finished a full season in the ranking.

Wheaton finished ranked in the top-10 of Division III in seven different team categories this season.

- First in completion percentage (74.8%)

- Fourth in total offense (507.2 YPG)

- Fourth in 3rd down conversion percentage (54.3%)

- Fifth in scoring offense (44.5 PPG)

- Seventh in offensive first downs (299)

- 10th in passing efficiency (179.83)

- 10th in 4th down conversion percentage (70.6%)
