The Thunder football team finishes the 2019 campaign ranked in the top-10 of both Top-25 Division III football polls

Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton football team is ranked in the final D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top-25 polls of the 2019 season. Wheaton posted a 12-1 record in 2019, tying the program's single-season record for victories in a season at 12.

The Thunder football program is ranked fifth in the final D3football.com Top-25 poll of the season. The fifth-place ranking ties Wheaton's highest placement in the website's final poll, the 2008 Wheaton team was ranked fifth in the final poll of that season as well. The recognition marks the 13th time in the 17 year-history of the D3football.com Top-25 poll that Wheaton has finished a season in the ranking.

Wheaton is ranked sixth in the AFCA D3football.com Top-25 poll in the final poll of the 2019 season.

The Thunder won the 2019 CCIW Championship with an undefeated 9-0 record in conference play. Wheaton advanced to the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Playoffs for the fourth time in program history.
