River Shindledecker selected to this week's D3football.com Team of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton defensive end River Shindledecker has been selected to this week's D3football.com "Team of the Week". This is the first time Shindledecker has been named to the "Team of the Week" and he is the sixth Wheaton selection this season.

Shindledecker registered six total tackles in Saturday's 40-0 victory at home against Augustana, including five solo tackles. The junior made 4-1/2 tackles for lost yardage of minus-32 yards, including 3-1/2 quarterback sacks of minus-31 yards. One of his sacks on Saturday was a safety that came on an intentional grounding call that came in the end zone to give Wheaton a 5-0 lead early in the game.

Wheaton, is ranked fifth in this week's D3football.com Top-25 poll, and in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) top-25 poll. Wheaton travels to Carroll this Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
