Wheaton, Ill. - Thunder defensive tackle Dallas McRae was named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Defensive Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, McRae was selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week. It was his third recognition on the D3football.com Team of the Week, and the second-consecutive week he has picked up the honor.

Monday's selection marks McRae's first career recognition as a CCIW Player of the Week. He is the sixth Wheaton player to earn a CCIW Player of the Week award this season. He joins fellow Defensive Player of the Week selections Spencer Rowland (Sept. 30) and Robby Schwartz (Sept. 23); Offensive Player of the Week honoree Phillip Nichols (October 6) and Special Teams Player of the Week selection John Bickle (Sept. 9).

McRae had four solo tackles, two sacks and three tackles-for-loss (TFL) in a 52-13 win against WashU on Saturday evening. He had a quarterback sack of six yards and forced a fumble on third down in the first quarter to end a WashU drive. His second sack was for 13 yards on third down in the second quarter to end a Bears drive. Additionally, his one tackle that wasn't a TFL or sack was for no gain.
