Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton football team remained undefeated on Saturday night with a 48-12 win against North Park (1-6/0-4 CCIW). Wheaton, ranked fifth in this week's AFCA Division III Top 25, improves to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in league play. The Thunder will travel to Elmhurst next Saturday for a 1 PM kickoff against the Bluejays.

Wheaton tallied 476 yards of offense, with 277 passing yards and 199 rushing yards. The Vikings recorded 240 yards of offense, passing for 164 yard and rushing for 76.

Quarterback Kyle Bradley completed 21 of his 29 passing attempts for 277 yards, with four touchdown tosses. Andrew Hershey ran for 92 yards, on 10 carries. Brett Jackson carried the ball 11 times for 51 yards, with one touchdown and he caught three passes for 84 yards, with a 62-yard touchdown reception.

Senior linebacker Jonathan Toal led the Thunder with seven total tackles, including 1-1/2 tackles for lost yardage (-3 yards). Cornerbacks Pete Ittersagen and Tyler Langs each made six total tackles. Ben Kunezle made three tackles for lost yardage (-11 yards), including two quarterback sacks (-9 yards). Nick Theobald (PICTURED RIGHT) and Eric Theisen each recorded two tackles for lost yardage, including a quarterback sack for Theobald.

North Park quarterback Shelby Wood completed 19 of his 26 passing attempts for 164 yards. The Vikings' Jacob Mueller carried the ball 18 times, for 99 yards, with two touchdown runs. Paul Mutschler led the North Park defense with 11 total tackles. Rick Goffron added 10 total tackles and Lucas DeJong recorded nine tackles.

Wheaton jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter on a six-yard touchdown pass by Bradley to Chris Fossum, a 35-yard touchdown toss to Jordan Kemper and a 39-yard field goal by Tim Ellingsen. Wheaton's lead increased to 24-0 with 11:56 left in the second quarter when Bradley (PICTURED LEFT) connected with Fossum on another six-yard touchdown toss. Mueller scored for the Vikings with 8:52 left in the first half to cut the Wheaton lead to 24-6. Wheaton held a 38-6 lead at halftime due to a nine-yard touchdown run by Jackson and a two-yard touchdown run by Rocky Gingg late in the second quarter.

Jackson caught a screen pass from Bradley and streaked into the end zone on a 62-yard pass reception for a touchdown, to increase the Thunder lead to 45-6 with 6:51 remaining in the third quarter. Mueller's second touchdown of the game was a four-yard run with 12:14 left in the fourth quarter. Ellingsen kicked a 20-yard field goal with 8:08 left in the game to account for the final score of 48-12.
